About CMN Ambassador - Weston Parker

Weston was born prematurely when his NICU nurses educated us about CMN’s comorbid condition, Neurocutaneous Melanosis (NCM). In NCM, nevi can occur within the brain and spinal cord, where only MRIs can see.

Thanks to the amazing team at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, we found a manifestation in Weston’s cerebellum early and resolved the large nevus on his forehead. Additionally, because of to the medical team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center for Kids, we are able to monitor Weston’s health in a longitudinal clinical study.

We are so thankful for Nevus Outreach. Not only did we connect with the best medical team for Weston, but the informative and helpful community gave us so much comfort during a time of unknowns.

Three years, 3 sedated, full-body, infant MRIs, and 3 surgeries later, Weston is living his best life healthy and happy. He is his big sister’s sidekick by day, and Spiderman by night.

Knowledge is power and community heals.
