Harper was born with a large congenital melanocytic nevus, or CMN, covering a portion of her face and scalp. When she was born, her family was not provided with much information about CMN and was left with many questions and uncertainty.

Nevus Outreach gave their family hope, comfort, and connection. Harper's family chose the removal route, and she has since been through more than 10 surgeries.

Raising awareness about CMN is important to Harper's family because everyone deserves to feel accepted, whether they were born with a birthmark or not. They hope Harper's story can help create a world where differences are met with kindness and every child feels confident and accepted for exactly who they are.
