Raising awareness is so important so that new parents don’t have to feel the fear and isolation that so many of us have faced. To hear a doctor or another parent say they have heard of CMN and point them to proper resources when a new nevus baby is born would be worth every second of telling our story.

My daughter was born with a giant congenital nevus 15 years ago. 

I remember all the fear and uncertainty that came along with learning to navigate a super rare condition. But I can confidently say 15 years later, many of those fears have been replaced by joyful moments and confidence. 

She is thriving in all ways a teenager should be and I couldn’t be more proud!
