Over time, my journey with CMN taught me something very different. I did not need to hide my difference. I needed to stop allowing it to define my value. 

Today, at 46, I am a mentor and speaker, and much of my work is dedicated to helping people recognize the value that already exists within them. My CMN is visible, but it does not define my worth. I choose to be seen fully as I am, and I hope my story helps others with CMN recognize their own value. 

Raising CMN awareness is important to me because no child should grow up believing that looking different means being worth less. I want children, families, and adults living with CMN to know that our differences do not diminish our value. I spent years trying not to be seen. Now I choose to be visible so someone else may feel less need to hide.
