The day they placed Norah in my arms was unlike anything I could have prepared for. Bruises? How could a newborn have so many? A panicked exchange of glances between the doctor and nurse sent shivers down my spine. Silence hung heavy in the air.

Desperate answers came from the internet's dark corners, painting terrifying worst-case scenarios for our hours-old daughter. Beyond the immediate medical anxieties, a gnawing worry about Norah's future took root. Countless hours of research worry and reach out to or connections in the medical community left us with even more questions that needed answers.

Thankfully shortly after Norah's birth we found a community and hope.

During these past months we've made connections, talked with doctors who understand the complexity of Norah's condition and the what if's that are unknown. With a resounding message coming from our new community that we may be rare, but we are not alone.
